Free test, no sign up

See who clicks your link first

Here's a real tracked link. Email it to yourself, open it, and watch the log. A security bot often gets there before you do.

  1. 1

    Your test link

It opens a warmhop test page, not your profile.

  2. 2

    Email it to yourself

Tip:a work or school inbox gets checked by security bots the most. We send it once and don't keep your address. Or open it in my mail app.

  3. 3

    Open it from your inbox

Then come back to this tab. The log updates by itself.

Questions about clicks and bots

Why did my link get clicked seconds after I sent it?

That was almost certainly a security bot. Work and school email (Microsoft Defender, Mimecast, Proofpoint) opens every link to check it before you even see the message. Most link trackers count that as a click. We label it “Security bot” so it doesn't fool you.

Is the test link safe to open?

Yes. It only opens a plain warmhop page. It can't be pointed anywhere else.

What do you keep from the test?

The time, a rough location and the device for each click, so we can show them to you. No names, no emails. We delete all of it after 24 hours.

Does this work on the links in my resume?

That's what warmhop is for. When the beta opens, you upload your resume and we swap in tracked links like this one.

Will a tracked link get my resume flagged as spam?

It's unlikely, but nobody can promise that for every company's filter. warmhop links are simple redirects from one domain. We watch that domain's reputation around the clock and shut down any link that breaks our rules, so someone else's spam can't drag yours down.

What does warmhop record about the person who clicks?

Not much: the time, a rough location, the kind of device and browser, and whether it looked like a person or a bot. No cookies, no name, no email, nothing that follows them around. In some countries we only keep the time, or nothing at all.

Is it legal to track clicks on my resume links?

We built warmhop to stay well inside privacy law: no cookies, no identities, very little data, and recording switched off where we haven't checked the law yet, like the EU and the UK. If your country says you have to tell people a link is tracked, that part's on you.
